We wanted to know more about our speakers and their point of view in this competitive industry, so we set up some interviews that will tell you a little more about their perspective. #TeCOMM asked, Gabriela Lungu answered. 

We rise THE question to the industry: Do you have what it takes to play in the big league? What do you think every player must have so he/she could answer with a confident YES to our question? 🙂 

Ambition – everything starts with this. ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way’ has become such a famous quote for a reason.  Persistence – it’s not easy to get to the top; you need to have resilience and bounce back when things get tough. Courage – to do things differently, to disrupt, to push boundaries.

  • This year’s theme focuses on mistakes. Which is the biggest mistake you have made as a professional in this field and what have you learned from it? 

Allowing bullies to mess up with my career. I learned that I need to be more vocal, fight for what’s right, get involved and determine a change if I want things to change, and call the bullies out.

Gabriela Lungu is an international expert in creative integrated communications, with over 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, PR and social, in different countries and environments, both agency and client side. Currently, she is leading WINGS Creative Leadership Lab, her nomad firm that helps companies all over the globe to elevate their creativity through training, workshops, sprints, or public speaking.

Before launching WINGS CLL in September 2017, she has been Chief Marketing Officer for Notino, Europe’s largest beauty online retailer, based in the Czech Republic. Prior to that, she worked in UK/London for a few years, as Creative Partner at TBWA\London, and as Chief Creative Officer for UK & EMEA at Weber Shandwick.
